Overcoming CPU Usage 100% And Windows Explorer Hang

Overcoming CPU Usage 100% And Windows Explorer Hang

This time I want to share tips to solve the problems on Windows, the problem of high CPU Usage, which shows the number of 100% continuously, whereas only open some files and programs only and Windows Explorer which often hangs / not responding when you use it.

Usually these problems a lot of causes, such as viruses, malware, spyware, WIndows problematic, or a hardware problem (if that's my hands up ... hehe). But if you use your laptop or computer is no problem, and suddenly you encounter a problem like this, you need to be suspicious and find out the problem, maybe it is not a hardware problem.

As a Technical Support is often encountered this problem on the user side, where they complain of this problem and have done reinstall Windows, but recently I've installed the computer. I had thought the problem was due to a virus, but on the user's PC is already installed antivirus updates always. After Googling troubleshoot and eventually found the problem.

Here's how to cope:

1. Scan your PC with an exterminator program Adware, Malware, Spyware.

Adware, Malware and Spyware differs from viruses, the programs above are malicious programs that slow computer performance (Adware and Malware), and spy on your computer activity remotely (Spyware), if your computer is connected to the Internet.

To handle this, you can use the Super Anti Spyware program, this program is free and you can download on the official website at http://www.superantispyware.com and you click link Download SUPERAntiSpyware FREE Edition. After the install I suggest to update the database before scanning.

2. Disable programs that do not need to run on Windows Startup.

Without you knowing a lot of programs that you do not know run at Windows Startup, which causes slow performance of your computer, you can run to remove it.

Start - Run - type in msconfig, then a window will appear System Configuration Utility, and then you click the Startup tab, then uncheck startup programs that are not essential. To determine the importance of the program you can check that there are programs that you install important run at Windows Startup.

3. Delete Key InProcServer32 in Regedit.

If the first and second method does not work, you can use this method, which removes InProcServer32 the Regedit key, this key is used to read all the media files, such as .avi on your hard drive, so make Windows Explorer work becomes more severe, and lead to Hang and high CPU Usage.

How to remove it:

Start - Run - type regedit, and then will come the Registry Editor window, then you get into
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ {c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590} \ InProcServer32
Backup first by Right-click on Key InProcServer32 - Export. After completion of the InProcServer32 delete the key, and you try to restart Windows.
