### Bandwidth And Function

Bandwidth And Function

Bandwidth is a calculated value of the data transfer in bits / sec or which are usually called by bits per second (bps), between the server and the client in a certain time. Or definition that is broad or wide bandwidth frequency range used by the signal transmission medium. So we can conclude that the maximum capacity bandwidth of a communication path used to transfer data in a matter of seconds. Bandwidth function is to calculate the transaction data.

Bandwidth computer within a computer network, bandwidth is often used as a synonym for data transfer rate, is the amount of data that can be taken from a point to another in a given period of time (usually in seconds). Bandwidth on a computer network is generally measured in bits per second (bps).

If we use a LAN connection (Local Area Network) 100 mbps, mean ideally can perform data transactions maximum of 100 mega bits per second (mbps). Then if a modem that can work at 57.600 bps has a 2 times larger bandwidth than a modem that works at 28,800 bps, if the computer is connected to a computer network has a large bandwidth or high can allow large data transmission such as sending pictures as in video presentation or can even send video.

Definition digital and analog bandwidth

What is that digital bandwidth and analaog? In the development of a computer network bandwidth is divided into two kinds including digital and analog bandwidth and the explanation below:

Digital Bandwidth is the volume or quantity of the data (in bps or bits per second) that can be transmitted over a communications channel without distortion.

Analog bandwidth that is a difference between the lowest frequency and the highest frequency in a frequency range that is measured in Hertz (Hz), which can determine the amount of information or data that can be transmitted in a moment.
